How does the home run derby and the All Star game reflect the Code for Living? You might say “everyone has developed their ability” or they wouldn’t be there, or think of other valid points. We intend this as a fun question: the derby and the game are all about fun. Fun to see all the stars, fun to watch the game, fun to see the players relaxed and enjoying each other. It’s good to be reminded that sports are supposed to be fun! We know that the Code says that we are to be positive influences on our teammates, and we know that it is always about “winning more than the game,” but how can you help make playing your sport more fun for all involved?
