Talk Shows, Twitter, Your Words and The Code

These days we are used to hearing a lot of name calling.  This is particularly true on all of the various talk shows, both political and sports.  We also often hear of Tweets that one person has written, usually another form of name calling.  What does the Code say?  “I will respect the dignity of every person and will not be abusive or dehumanizing of another either as an athlete or a fan.”  How is it with you?  Can you maintain your self-control when you are tested in a tough game?  Are you able to maintain control of your words, no matter where you are, no matter to whom you are talking?  There’s an old expression: “Never say anything you don’t want your grandmother to see on the front page of the newspaper.”  The noise we hear “out there” should be a constant reminder of who not to be.
