Miley Cyrus and The Code

Miley Cyrus created a stir by her act at the MTV awards.  She dressed and danced in a way that was sexually suggestive.  What does the Code say, and what do you think about her performance?  The Code says, “I will display caring and honorable behavior… and will be a positive role model…”  There have been many singers and dancers who have danced in sexually suggestive ways – there was nothing new in that sense.  The real question is: who does Miley want to be?  Does she want to create and outrageous image of herself, such as Lady Gaga?  Or does she want to create a wholesome image of herself like Carrie Underwood?  Is she a good girl or a bad girl?  The more important question is: who are you?  What do you want people to think of you?  Of your family?  Of your team, and school?
