The GOAT, You, and The Code

What is the greatest reward in sports?  Is it winning?  Is it becoming the best you are capable of?  Recently, an 18 year old Chinese chess player named Dommaraju became the youngest person in history to win the World Championship. Kasparov, the previous “youngest ever” Champion, in congratulating him said, “He has summitted the highest peak of all: making his mother happy!”  While it is true that we always play for ourselves, it is also true that we play for our team, our coach, our teammates, as well as for all those who have helped us along the way.  Whom do you play for? The Code does not answer this but it does remind us of our commitment to ourselves, our team and our community.  So, whom do you play for?
