The Olympic Spirit and the Code

We have heard many words about the “Olympic spirit;” what does it mean to you?  Try to put it into words!  Do you have any reservations about it?  Most say that it has to do with a spirit of peace, harmony and our common humanity that should bind all nations and people in one family, and which can and does occur in the Olympics.  The Frenchman Pierre de Coubertin who restarted the “modern” games in 1894 believed that the most important thing was having the games themselves – more important than winning or losing were having all nations participating.   It is the ultimate example of playing a sport, trying to be the best you can, testing yourself against others, and then learning from that test.  The goal of ABW is the same: to develop the best in us, to give out best, and to know that no matter the score we are always about more than just ourselves, we are always Winning More Than The Game.  How can you help promote this vision?
