The 16th Annual Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup, an award given to the most outstanding role models among athletes, announced the Professional, Collegiate, and High School honorees for its 2021 award ceremony held April 29th at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
Heisman Trophy winner and philanthropist Danny Wuerffel was the Professional recipient, Bria Matthews of Georgia Tech was the Collegiate recipient, The Spirit of ABW Award was won by Rodrigo Blankenship, and the four national High School recipients for 2019-2021 were Natalya Blair Newsome, Max David Friedman, Najah Nicholas, and Cole Hagen. Bob Ryan, the famed sportswriter for the Boston Globe and analyst for ESPN, served as the Master of Ceremonies, with Steve Spurrier in attendance to co-present the trophy to Wuerffel.
